Palm Kernel Shell

Jakarta | Lampung
Palm kernel shell is a byproduct from palm oil manufacturing that is widely employed in the natural biomass energy industry. Palm kernel shells (or PKS) are the shell fractions that remain after the nut has been crushed in the palm oil mill. It is a fibrous material with a brownish-yellow color that may be easily handled in bulk from the production line to the end user. Because of its high calorific value (averaging 4000 Kcal/kg) and low ash content, it is regarded as an appealing fuel source for renewable energy production.
